Hi! Welcome to my blog about my journey as a graduate student in the Educational Technology (EDTECH) program at Boise State University.
I am an academic librarian and faculty member at The College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho, where I have served since 2013. Prior to that, I served as the User Services Librarian at Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho from 2005-2013. I earned my Master of Science in Library and Information Science from the University of North Texas in 2006.
Before joining the world of academia I worked in the tech sector. I started on the production floor of a computer manufacturer and worked my way into marketing, technical support and customer service. I led a team of top-tier technical support agents in charge of providing premier service for government, educational and commercial accounts.
As a librarian, I have a keen interest in information technology and its intersection with people. I am most intrigued by how technology, used wisely, can promote and sustain learning and growth from the youngest child to the oldest adult. This is why I am pursuing an EDTECH degree from Boise State University.
I invite you to explore my blog and learn more about me and what I have learned as a student in BSU’s EDTECH program. Please contact me if you have any questions or if I may be of service.
